James Appleyard is a seasoned tech startup operator, investor, and advisor, who specializes in supporting impact-driven companies as they scale.

James worked with an outstanding team to build charity fundraising technology leader Artez Interactive into an international success, with presence in Canada, the US, Australia, and the UK. The company’s sale enabled him to focus on supporting other entrepreneurs; he founded Freycinet in 2013 to provide select emerging companies with financial resources and advice from a seasoned entrepreneur and investor.

A graduate of The London School of Economics and the University of Toronto, James also serves as a volunteer and director of several charitable organizations.
